Nunoya is a Barcelona based business specializing in Japanese textiles, kimono, clothing and fashion accessories. Our Japanese cotton fabrics are sold by length and in sets suitable for patchwork. We design and produce a diverse range of original items including kimono, bags, purses, footwear and items for the home.

Clients include both the public and professionals such as fashion and interior designers.

Our Barcelona shop offers a made to order service for original dresses, kimono, bags - perfect for a special occasion.

The Nunoya webshop accepts Visa, Mastercard and Maestro credit and debit cards. Within Spain cash-on-delivery is possible - simply select this option during check-out.

To make your first purchase you will have to create a customer account. Thereafter you need only enter your email address and chosen password to access your account and make a purchase.

• Japanese Fabrics

  Japanese print cotton fabrics sourced directly by the owners of Nunoya during their regular trips to Japan. Our clients include fashion designers, tailors, fashion students, patchworkers, book binders, bag designers.
  We have also provided fabrics to film stylists and various theatre costume designers including the Theatre National of Catalunya, and the Liceu opera house.
  

  Composition: 100% cotton unless noted otherwise. Width: 110cm
  Minimum purchase quantity: each design: 20cm
  Purchase increments above 20cm: 10cm, ie. you can buy 30cm, 40cm and so on up to the maximum available in stock.

  Each set contains four pieces of Japanese fabric cut to 20cm by 35cm. In our Barcelona shop these have proved very popular with our "patchwork" clients. They are also popular with our clients who make purses, brooches etc or to provide an accent to clothing.

• Kimono, Obi & Skirts

  The basic principle of a kimono is that most of its constituent pieces are rectangular and joined along straight edges. Traditionally this allowed the kimono to be taken apart, washed then reassembled many times over. This maintained the form of each piece, whereas washing the entire silk kimono would have distorted its overall shape. Our Barcelona shop stocks various types of kimono including antique silk models, yukata and samue. We also make to order according to the client's choice of fabric and style.

• Footwear

  In Japan Tabi are traditionally worn with sandals called Geta and Zori They are also necessary when wearing the split-toe boot, "jikatabi" favoured by construction workers and festival participants. See our pphoto gallery for images of jikatabi.
  
  We stock jikatabi boots in our Barcelona shop but as sizing is critical we do not offer them online. If you have already bought a pair, know the exact size and wish to buy another pair then please email us and we will be happy to process your order.
